Asus Laptop Repair: Questions and Answers
The questions we are asked most, answered plainly.
Your questions, answered
Which Asus laptops do you repair?
Every range: ZenBook, VivoBook, ROG, TUF Gaming, ExpertBook and ProArt, and older X, K, N, A, F and G series machines.
How much will my repair cost?
It depends on the model and the fault, so we quote each job. The quote is free and you are under no obligation.
How do I find my model number?
Look at the label underneath the laptop, after the word MODEL. It looks like X550CA or GA503QM. You can also type it into our model finder.
I am not in London. Can you still repair my laptop?
Yes. We collect by insured courier from anywhere in the UK and return it the same way. See mail-in repair.
How long does a repair take?
Many London repairs are done the same day. Jobs that need a part ordered take longer, and we tell you how long with the quote.
Is it worth repairing an older Asus laptop?
Sometimes. For older series, good parts can be hard to find. We tell you honestly, and if a repair is not worth it we can still recover your files.
Will I lose my files during a repair?
A screen, keyboard, battery or charging repair does not touch your files. If we need to reinstall Windows, we ask first and back up your data.
My laptop is dead. Can you get my files off it?
In most cases, yes. The drive usually survives. See data recovery and the price list.
What does data recovery cost?
The first consultation is free. Deleted files on a standard hard drive are £99 + VAT, and physical recovery on a single drive is £450 + VAT. The full list is on the prices page.
Do you repair ROG and TUF gaming laptops?
Yes, including overheating, graphics faults and high refresh rate screens. See gaming laptop repair.
Can I try to fix it myself first?
For many faults, yes. Our how-to guides cover the safe checks, and say when to stop.
Are you part of Asus?
No. We are an independent repair service run by Creative IT (UK) Ltd, repairing Asus laptops since 2004.
