Asus TUF Gaming 2024 Repair and Data Recovery
Asus released four TUF Gaming models in 2024: FA401, FA607, FA608 and FX607. One earlier model kept its number and changed inside. We repair them at component level and recover data from them, in London or by insured courier from anywhere in the UK.
TUF Gaming models released in 2024
The model number is on the label underneath the laptop, after the word MODEL. The letters that follow it, such as FA507NV, identify the exact version.

What is inside a 2024 TUF Gaming
- New models: TUF Gaming A14 FA401 (14-inch, Ryzen 7 8845HS / Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 + RTX 4050/4060), F16 FX607 (16-inch, Intel 13th Gen + RTX 4050/4060), A16 FA607 (Ryzen 9 7845HX / 7940HX + RTX 40) and A16 FA608 (Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 + RTX 4060/4070).
- The A14 FA401 and the 2024 A16 FA608 have LPDDR5X memory soldered to the board (16GB or 32GB, no SO-DIMM slots); both keep two M.2 PCIe slots. The FX607 and FA607 keep two SO-DIMM slots and two M.2 slots.
- A14 FA401: 73Wh battery, 200W adapter, USB4 Type-C with power delivery, and a microSD reader. FX607 and FA607 ship with either a 56Wh or 90Wh battery depending on configuration.
- Refreshed: FA507 continued as the A15 (2024) (FA507U variants). Asus's spec pages for FA507, FA707 and FA617 also list later Ryzen 7 7435HS variants (FA507NUR/NVR, FA707NUR/NVR, FA617NSR/NTR).

Data recovery from a 2024 TUF Gaming
When one of these laptops will not start, the files are usually still there. TUF Gaming laptops have two M.2 NVMe slots, so there may be a second SSD fitted. Tell us if there is, so that we recover the right one.
Windows 11 switches on device encryption on many of these laptops without asking. If the drive is encrypted we need the BitLocker recovery key, which is normally saved in your Microsoft account.

In most cases, yes. The SSD in a TUF Gaming laptop can be removed and read directly, even when the motherboard has failed. The first look is free.
