Asus ExpertBook, ProArt and Chromebook 2026 Repair and Data Recovery
Asus released ten ExpertBook, ProArt and Chromebook models in 2026: BM3406, BM3606, PM5406, B9406 and six more. Six earlier models kept their numbers and changed inside. We repair them at component level and recover data from them, in London or by insured courier from anywhere in the UK.
ExpertBook, ProArt and Chromebook models released in 2026
The model number is on the label underneath the laptop, after the word MODEL. The letters that follow it, such as B9403CVA, identify the exact version.

What is inside a 2026 ExpertBook, ProArt or Chromebook
- ExpertBook Ultra B9406 (CES 2026): Intel Core Ultra Series 3 (Panther Lake), 14-inch 2880x1800 Tandem OLED touchscreen, soldered LPDDR5X up to 64GB, a single M.2 2280 SSD slot (the only upgradeable part), 70Wh battery, 90W USB-C charger and a chassis of about 1.1kg.
- The G2 business generation: ExpertBook P5 G2 PM5406 uses AMD Ryzen AI 400 (up to Ryzen AI 9 HX 470) with two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots and M.2 2280 plus M.2 2230 SSD slots; B3 G2 BM3406/BM3606 are the AMD versions. Several G2 models keep the 2025 base number (B5 G2 is B5405CAA/B5605CAA on Core Ultra Series 3; P3 G2 is PM3406CHA/PM3606CHA on Ryzen 7 260), so check the suffix.
- ProArt PZ14 HT7407: Snapdragon X2 Elite (Windows on Arm), 14-inch 2880x1800 144Hz OLED, soldered 16 or 32GB LPDDR5X, an M.2 2230 SSD, firmware TPM with Microsoft Pluton, 75Wh battery and 68W USB-C charging. ProArt PX13 HN7306 keeps its number for the 2026 Ryzen AI Max+ 395 version and the GoPro Edition.
- ProArt P16 H7607 and P14 H7407 (Computex 2026, on sale from autumn 2026 in some regions) use NVIDIA's Arm-based RTX Spark platform with up to 128GB of unified memory and OLED displays. Chromebook CM14 (CM1406, CM1405) and CM15 CM1505 use a MediaTek Kompanio 540 with 4/8GB LPDDR5X on board, 64 or 128GB eMMC and USB-C charging.

Data recovery from a 2026 ExpertBook, ProArt or Chromebook
When one of these laptops will not start, the files are usually still there. ExpertBook and ProArt laptops use M.2 NVMe SSDs. Several models have two, sometimes set up as a RAID pair, and with those we need both drives. Business laptops often have BitLocker switched on by the company that issued them, so ask your IT department for the recovery key. Chromebooks are different: the files are encrypted to your Google account and the storage is often soldered to the board, so recovery depends on getting the Chromebook itself to start. Anything synced to Google Drive is not affected.
Windows 11 switches on device encryption on many of these laptops without asking. If the drive is encrypted we need the BitLocker recovery key, which is normally saved in your Microsoft account.

Can you recover my files if the laptop will not turn on?
In most cases, yes. On ExpertBook and ProArt laptops the SSD can be removed and read directly. On a Chromebook, recovery depends on getting the Chromebook itself to start. The first look is free.
