Asus ROG 2021 Repair and Data Recovery
Asus released nine ROG models in 2021: GV301, G513, G713, G533 and five more. Two earlier models kept their numbers and changed inside. We repair them at component level and recover data from them, in London or by insured courier from anywhere in the UK.
ROG models released in 2021
The model number is on the label underneath the laptop, after the word MODEL. The letters that follow it, such as GA402RJ, identify the exact version.

What is inside a 2021 ROG
- Strix G15/G17 (G513/G713), Scar 15/17 (G533/G733), Zephyrus G14 (GA401 refresh), G15 GA503, Flow X13 GV301 and Duo 15 SE GX551 use AMD Ryzen 5000H/HS/HX with RTX 30; Zephyrus M16 GU603H and S17 GX703 use Intel 11th-gen Core H with RTX 30. The Strix G15 Advantage Edition (G513QY) is all-AMD: Ryzen 9 5900HX + Radeon RX 6800M.
- Flow X13 GV301 (13.4-inch 2-in-1): 16GB LPDDR4X soldered with no slots, a single short M.2 2230 SSD, charging over a 100W USB-C adapter, and the proprietary XG Mobile interface port for the external GPU dock.
- Zephyrus G15 GA503 and M16 GU603H have RAM soldered plus one SO-DIMM slot and two M.2 PCIe slots, with USB-C power delivery alongside the main adapter; Strix G15 G513 has two DDR4 SO-DIMM slots and two M.2 slots.
- Zephyrus S17 GX703 has three M.2 slots, 16GB soldered plus one SO-DIMM and an optical-mechanical keyboard; Duo 15 SE GX551 keeps the ScreenPad Plus, with 16GB soldered plus one SO-DIMM and two M.2 2280 slots supporting RAID 0.

Data recovery from a 2021 ROG
When one of these laptops will not start, the files are usually still there. ROG laptops use M.2 NVMe SSDs, and many have two or three slots. Some Strix Scar and Zephyrus models leave the factory with two SSDs striped in RAID 0, which splits every file across both drives. With those we need both SSDs to recover anything.
These laptops were sold with Windows 10, and many have since been upgraded to Windows 11, which can switch on device encryption by itself. If the drive is encrypted we need the BitLocker recovery key, which is normally saved in your Microsoft account.

My ROG is not in the 2021 list. Can you repair it?
Almost certainly. The tables cover the models we see most. Call 020 7394 2521 with the model number from the label underneath.
Can you recover my files if the laptop will not turn on?
In most cases, yes. The SSDs in a ROG laptop can be removed and read directly. If it has two SSDs in RAID 0, we need both. The first look is free.
