Asus ROG 2024 Repair and Data Recovery
Asus released three ROG models in 2024: GA403, GA605 and GU605. Four earlier models kept their numbers and changed inside. We repair them at component level and recover data from them, in London or by insured courier from anywhere in the UK.
ROG models released in 2024
The model number is on the label underneath the laptop, after the word MODEL. The letters that follow it, such as GA402RJ, identify the exact version.

What is inside a 2024 ROG
- Zephyrus G14 GA403 and G16 GU605 were fully redesigned: CNC-machined aluminium chassis, a Slash Lighting LED strip on the lid in place of AniMe Matrix, and OLED panels (G14 3K 120Hz, G16 2.5K 240Hz).
- RAM is fully soldered LPDDR5X with no slots on GA403, GU605 and GA605, so memory cannot be upgraded or swapped; G14 has one M.2 slot, G16 has two.
- Platforms: G14 GA403 Ryzen 7 8845HS / Ryzen 9 8945HS + RTX 4060/4070; G16 GU605 Intel Core Ultra 9 185H + RTX 4060 to 4090; G16 GA605 AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 + RTX 40. Charging is by a rectangular slim-tip DC adapter (180W to 240W) plus USB-C PD (100W adapter); Thermal Grizzly liquid metal on the CPU and a third fan on the G14.
- Strix G16 G614, G18 G814, Scar 16 G634 and Scar 18 G834 continued under the same base numbers with an Intel 14th-gen HX refresh.

Data recovery from a 2024 ROG
When one of these laptops will not start, the files are usually still there. ROG laptops use M.2 NVMe SSDs, and many have two or three slots. Some Strix Scar and Zephyrus models leave the factory with two SSDs striped in RAID 0, which splits every file across both drives. With those we need both SSDs to recover anything.
Windows 11 switches on device encryption on many of these laptops without asking. If the drive is encrypted we need the BitLocker recovery key, which is normally saved in your Microsoft account.

Yes. We collect by insured courier from anywhere in the UK and send the laptop back the same way.
My ROG is not in the 2024 list. Can you repair it?
Almost certainly. The tables cover the models we see most. Call 020 7394 2521 with the model number from the label underneath.
Can you recover my files if the laptop will not turn on?
In most cases, yes. The SSDs in a ROG laptop can be removed and read directly. If it has two SSDs in RAID 0, we need both. The first look is free.
